Creating a mural in this family’s kitchen was a joy from start to finish. They gave me a list of plants and animals (both real and imaginary) that are important to their family, like tulip poplar trees, bird-monkey “Bonkeys,” and Winky the one-eyed frog that lives in their back yard.
