I was thrilled to be chosen to design this ArtWorks mural at Great American Ball Park, in celebration of the CROWN (Cincinnati Riding or Walking Network) Trail. Located at the corner of Joe Nuxhall Way & Mehring Way, the mural spans 165 feet of wall between the Reds Hall of Fame and Smale Riverfront Park. In creating the design for the mural I met with representatives of the Reds, Tri-State Trails, and (with the help of world’s best project manager Zhaira Costiniano) worked to include as many Cincinnati landmarks and activities as could possibly fit on the wall. There are so many beautiful places connected by the CROWN trail that narrowing it down was the hardest part! My hope is that the final mural will spark excitement and curiosity, and encourage passersby to celebrate the ways that trails, nature, and outdoor activities connect people and communities.
